Teaching Methods
The student must develop the practical component in a clinical context under clinical supervision for a total of 94 hours. The student, under the guidance of nurses with enhanced clinical supervision skills and the school lecturer, plans and implements a supervision plan and evaluates the supervisees. The nurse from the health unit is responsible for direct supervision and evaluating the student's performance. The school teacher is responsible for supervision and pedagogical guidance, ensuring that the objectives are met and that strategies are developed that respect the student's learning pace
Assessment
The teacher is responsible for the student's final assessment.
The practical component will be assessed using the continuous assessment method, using a measurement tool designed for the purpose and in accordance with Regulation 366/2018 of the Order of Nurses, which establishes the competences of the Clinical Supervisor in Nursing (60%).
In the last week of the practical component, the student must produce a descriptive, critical and reflective report on the internship (40%). To pass this course, the student must obtain a minimum mark of 9.5 in both assessments.
