Learning Goals

Goals:
Deepen Nursing knowledge related to the Pre-Natal period
Acquire skills to care for the woman inserted in the family / community during the prenatal.
Skills:
Communicate signs, symptoms and exams to diagnose pregnancies
Evidence of knowledge in the evaluation of maternal-fetal well-being.
Monitor and assess pregnancies in a simulated environment
Link education to health and lifestyles as a way of encouraging a healthy pregnancy
Understand the support measures available to relieve discomfort during pregnancies
Demonstrate an understanding of the promotion of birthing plans.
Integrate knowledge that will enable the student to cooperate with other professionals when treating women experiencing complications during pregnancy, with associated or concurrent illnesses
Master the basic support of life measures for women in critical condition.

Teaching Methods

Teaching includes classroom training, case studies requiring research and reflection and laboratory exercises. Individual/group tutorials serve to complement the various teaching methods.
The pedagogical methodology used in this Curricular Unit includes the use of advanced technological resources, namely, digital environments and technological platforms applied to training and simulation.

The assessment and development process takes into consideration all the objectives, competencies and course unit's programmed contente..
Continuous assessment with an exercise, in the format of attendance, and a work group. Quotation: individual work 60% and work group 40%
Students that fail to attend at least one of the assessment exercises must sit an exam.
