Course Overview
Viticulture is an activity of primordial importance in Portugal, namely for its potentialities for the production of quality wines. To increase its progress, it is essential to improve the chain of knowledge dynamization, through the training of highly specialized technicians. To this end, the Master in Viticulture and Oenology aims to prepare professionals capable of taking on responsibilities at the level of wine companies, in production, planning and design, quality control, commercialization and marketing, developing the capacity for initiative, innovation and integration of the various interdisciplinary knowledge acquired. This Masters aims to provide knowledge of the natural and technological factors that condition the characteristics of the raw material, as well as to conceive, plan and manage the different viticultural and oenological practices, according to the predefined characteristics of the final product. It also seeks to prepare students for a research career.

Graduation in Agronomy, Agro-food, Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, or equivalents.
