What is InclUÉ?

InclUÉ is the University of Évora’s Resource Center for Inclusion. This specialized support center provides the tools and assistance needed to promote inclusion, accessibility, and equity in access and participation for the entire community.

Goals and Mission

To fulfill this mission, InclUÉ is organized according to three fundamental pillars:
● Accessibility: Promote accessible physical and digital environments by providing assistive resources and technologies.
● Autonomy: Contribute to academic and professional independence through personalized technical assessment, counseling, and direct support for all individuals.
● Capacity Building: Promote awareness-raising and training initiatives aimed to strengthen the skills of the academic community and civil society, encouraging pedagogical and relational practices that are truly inclusive.

What services do we offer?

● Personalized Support: Individualized support for students and staff, tailored to their specific needs.
● Assistive Technologies: Evaluation of specific needs, recommendations, and loan of adaptive equipment.
● Training: Promotion of an inclusive institutional culture through community awareness and capacity-building (sessions, workshops, and campaigns).

Assistive Technologies

InclUÉ offers the following equipment:
● eMotion B340T – 40-cell Braille display with Braille keyboard, internal memory, notepad, and built-in speech.
● Sense Player – DAISY player, digital recorder, and document reader.
● NVDA – Screen reader with speech.
● PCEye Tracker – Eye-tracking device.
● Braille printer - Equipment specialized in transcribing and printing text using the Braille alphabet's raised dot system.
● Tactile printer – Production of tactile images, graphics, or diagrams.
