Course Overview

The Universidade de Évora (UÉ) and the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT/UNL) have proven themselves as highly skilled for the teaching and the researching in several sectors of the Earth Sciences and the Life Sciences. In order to take advantage of the knowledge, valences and laboratory facilities, in a synergistic way and optimizing the number and quality of teachers and technical staff, UÉ and FCT / UNL have joined and present a Master in Palaeontology, which is already in its 9th edition.

Master degree recognized by the Ministry of Education for the application of Article 54 of the Statute of the Teaching Career (DL nº 270/2009 of September 30), regulated by Decree No. 344/2008 of April 30, to the recruitment groups 230 and 520 of the 2nd cycle and 3rd cycle of Basic Education.

Specific Entry Requirements

Students can apply for this masters degree if they are: Holders of a graduation (or legal equivalente) in Biology, Geology, Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Geological Engineering, Archeology, Geography, Biology and Geology Teaching or other related fields; Holders of a foreign higher academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process; Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of the degree awarded by the Scientific Council of the School of Science and Technology of the UÉ or by the Scientific Council of the FCT / UNL; Holders of a scientific or professional curriculum recognized by the Scientific Council of the School of Science and Technology of the UÉ or by the Scientific Council of the FCT / UNL as suitable to carry out this cycle of studies
