Course Overview

This program aims to provide advanced knowledge in Economics, leading to the production of relevant scientific output. The program aims to contribute to the students’ capacity to understand the economic reality, through the development of research, as well as the resolution of problems of an economic nature. Students develop their capacity to develop independent research and enhance scientific and technical skills in the field of Economics, in general, and of specific areas of their choice, in particular.

Specific Entry Requirements

1. Candidates are admitted to Plan A of the Programme (Programme with courses) with the general conditions of Decree-Law 65/2018, August 16th. 2. Candidates are admitted to Plan B of the Programme (Thesis) with a minimum grade of GOOD (14) in a BSc and in an MSc in Economics. 3. Exceptionally, candidates may be admitted to Plan B of the Programme (Thesis) with a minimum grade of GOOD (14) in a BSc and in an MSc in areas considered relevant by the Programme Committee.
