Goals:
1. Understand the fundamental principles and concepts of management, serving as a basis for a more in-depth exploration of the different themes to be developed throughout the course.
2. Describe the historical development and evolution of management thinking and theories.

4. Recognize the global and evolving context in which organizations operate, including the challenges and dynamics they affect the modern management.

Teaching Methods

The teaching sessions are mostly of a face-to-face theoretical-practical nature, using the following teaching-learning methodologies:
• Expository, with the particularity that in the first session of each of the 5 topics, a master will be held to frame the themes.
• Participatory, through the promotion of dialogue, exposition of ideas and opinions.
• Active, with the realization, discussion and oral presentation of a work of an analysis group of a concrete company and other classroom activities.
The Autonomous Study will be asynchronously at a distance, through recommended readings, video viewing, exercise resolution, among others.
In addition, whenever possible, Seminars on management practices, Open Classes, Lessons, among others, will be held, by invitation to professionals representing companies and institutions, to envision the future of management, with a view to personal and professional development.

Assessment

The Continuous Assessment (CA) Regime:
• Individual written test (50%)
• Group work, with discussion and oral presentation (30%)
• Classroom activities (20%)

Final Assessment (Exam)
• Normal Season Exam:
-Individual written test (70%)
- Group Work (30%)

• Other Exams:
- Individual written test (70%)
- Oral Exam (30%)
