Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

The aim of this course unit is to provide students with knowledge, skills, and competencies to:
- Identify the procedures inherent in the analysis of quantitative data most suitable for the research to be developed;
- Select and be able to apply data analysis based on the assumptions and tests provided in each technique, within the scope of tourism research;
- Enhance knowledge of multivariate data analysis in order to apply appropriate techniques for the analysis of data collected in research.
- Adopt the most appropriate software for data analysis in tourism.

The teaching component of the course is structured into 3 points, corresponding to a total of 30 hours of theoretical-practical teaching sessions, with 24 hours of face-to-face contact and 6 hours of synchronous or asynchronous contact.

Assessment

According to the academic regulations of the University of Évora, students have the option to choose between continuous assessment or examination.
Continuous assessment:
Participation in a real-life data collection exercise (20%) + Individual assignment (80%).
Exam (supplementary and/or special seasons):
Participation in a real-life data collection exercise (20%) + Written exam (80%).
