The Internet emerged in the 1960s as a means of communication only for a privileged few, but in the last two decades it has consolidated itself as a means of mass communication, presenting enormous creative potential that has since been explored by artists, especially since 1990. During the ?Net Art Laboratory? course, net art is understood as a hybrid set of artistic practices that combine with various media and artistic disciplines, and which operate on the Internet or, alternatively, are a product of it, with the language of multimedia technologies and creative programming being its main tools. The course consists of laboratory practice sessions that provide basic skills in the creation of a net art project. Throughout the sessions, practical exercises will be presented using methodologies, techniques and teaching resources with a view to solving concrete problems in the field of experimental, exploratory and creative net art.
