Course Overview

The Civil Engineering course is in association with the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (IPP), the University of Évora (UÉ) and the Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPB).
The aim of the study cycle is to train professionals with a solid background in engineering sciences and in the main areas of civil engineering, namely: planning and construction management, construction materials and processes, structures and foundations, hydraulics and water management and transportation.?The aim is for students to acquire the ability to apply knowledge of basic sciences and civil engineering sciences using scientific methodologies and to master new technologies as a tool for solving problems. In terms of skills, students will develop a critical spirit to understand, formulate and solve complex problems, continue to learn independently and demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills.?The course provides skills in the areas of management, direction and supervision of construction, project development, diagnosis and rehabilitation of existing buildings, as well as in the operation and maintenance of infrastructures.
