Course Overview

The degree course in Tourism is a broad-based degree that focuses on training in key areas of tourism. Future professionals are equipped with conceptual and analytical tools for credible participation in the design of tourism products, travel agency practices, implementing tourism undertakings, organizing events and entertainment activities, and designing and implementing tourism projects. This degree course offers (optional) access to certification in hotel management and reservation software and airline ticketing software. It also offers students the chance to take part in research and development activities and projects at the Tourism Laboratory and ASTO (Alentejo Sustainable Tourism Observatory, which is part of the World Tourism Organizations International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories).
