This course aims to provide a broad perspective on the evolution of Portuguese history in an international context, focusing on cultural, socioeconomic, political, and institutional structures, as well as key moments and factors of rupture and impact. It also aims to enhance the following skills:
-To develop analytical and critical thinking about the history of Portugal and apply it in a teaching and learning context.

Teaching Methods
The teaching methodologies are diverse, aiming to promote active learning. They emphasize classroom participation and discussion, independent work, and individual responsibility. The course's theoretical concepts and foundations will be presented through the analysis of various sources, encouraging student involvement through research in primary and secondary sources, information organization, and the systematic analysis of recommended readings.
Assessment
Continuous Assessment: three short essays (1000 to 1500 words each) in a classroom context (55%), and one written test (45%).
