To make available a general and fair context of Portuguese literary history of the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as to develop the capacity for analyzing and understanding texts from those eras.

Teaching Methods
Classes combine the lecture and seminar formats, including the reading and analysis of literary texts. Marking is done through two written tests - 50%+50% or, alternatively, through final examination - 100%.
