Introduction

The University of Évora, hereinafter referred to as UEVORA, is the entity responsible for this Portal. This Portal is owned by the University of Évora (UÉ), and its administration is the responsibility of the Computer Services in coordination with the Communication Division of the Rector's Services.

The information contained in the Portal aims to disseminate information of an institutional scope and that fits with the mission and purposes of UEVORA. This Portal is regulated by the relevant legislation, namely the Copyright and Related Rights Code and the Industrial Property Code.

Information security, privacy and protection of the personal data of Portal users are a priority for this Institution and are managed in accordance with the applicable legal and regulatory rules, namely: the Cyberspace Security Regime (L. no. 46/2018, of 13/08), General Data Protection Regulation (Reg EU no. 679/2016, of 27/04); and Implementing Law (updated Personal Data Protection Law): Law No. 58/2019, of 08/08.

Technical Information

For the purposes of administering the UEVORA Portal, technical information is collected, namely the IP address (Internet Protocol), pages visited and the navigation program (browser) used to view the site. This collection is intended to diagnose problems, optimize access, traffic analysis and the production of statistical indicators.

The UEVORA Portal includes links to other pages and platforms where personal information may be collected, so it is recommended to check the respective privacy notices.

All content available on the Portal is the responsibility of UEVORA. The information contained therein is the property of UEVORA, and cannot be reproduced or modified without prior authorization, except for teaching or research purposes or for personal and lawful use, in which case, the title and origin of the same must be indicated.

This Portal is regulated by the relevant legislation, namely by the Copyright and Related Rights Code and the Industrial Property Code and the user is authorized to make any use within the terms of the aforementioned law.

UEVORA considers that the participation of members of the academy in social networks is a way of promoting interactions between the UEVORA community and the audiences with which it shares interests. Admissible links are those that contain a free, but exclusive, informative reference in general and abstract terms, particularly regarding services or teaching line offers, scientific events or goods or services made available (with indication of official contacts for relevant certification).

Any connection to the University of Évora website involves the possibility of auditing and requests for clarification from the Rectory of the University of Évora, through the respective IT Services or the Data Protection Officer. The mention of any type of connection, support, collaboration, partnership or invocation of the University of Évora, or connection to the University of Évora Portal (website), requires express authorization from the Rectory.

The Rectory of the University of Évora, as Main Responsible for Information Security and Personal Data Protection, announces the right to demand the suspension or withdrawal of any connection that it considers less appropriate, and may determine the suspension of that same right.

The content of this website cannot be incorporated into the structure of any other website without the express reasoned request and documented authorization from the Rectory of the University of Évora.

Personal Data

The processing of requested personal data is the responsibility of UEVORA and is carried out in accordance with the general rules in force, and the information collected and processed may be accessed by UEVORA Services/Units within the scope of their functions, namely, by those responsible for Academic Services, IT Services and Social Action Services.

The University will do everything to respect the security and confidentiality of the data entrusted to it and urges users to use prudent, informed and responsible use of IT resources and to be careful about making them available with respect to minimizing their personal data, in an appropriate manner. the purposes you intend to pursue.

The personal data entrusted to us for the performance of administrative, pedagogical, scientific and related tasks must be carried out through secure connections and, for this purpose, personalized computer addresses are made available with safeguarding of personal data and/or passwords which must be updated (necessarily after an annual fraction).

The personal data provided by the holder when filling out existing forms and made available on the Services, such as on this Portal, are protected by Law No. 58/2019, of 08 August , and are strictly necessary to identify the user. All information will be used exclusively for the purposes expressed in the respective collection forms and will not, under any circumstances, be made available for purposes other than those necessary and requested for the interests in question. In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation GDPR and its Implementing Law, the LPDP - Personal Data Protection Law, users may at any time exercise their right of access, rectification and cancellation(in the concretely applicable terms), formally and justifiably communicating the intention to the contacts of the respective Units and obtaining clarifications from the contacts indicated in this "Privacy Policy"

The lawfulness of the treatment of the collected personal data is based on the legitimate interests of the institution in providing another channel of communication to its main interlocutors (students, teachers, researchers, employees, collaborators, former students, suppliers, student candidates and the general public), in particular to welcome and respond to suggestions, complaints or praise.

The data subject also has the right to submit complaints related to UEVORA's failure to comply with the provisions relating to the protection and processing of personal data with the National Data Protection Commission .
