Course Overview

This course will be applicable in São Tomé and Príncipe.

The programme aims to train highly qualified professionals capable of working in the field of social intervention as well as in the design, implementation, and evaluation of socio-educational projects in São Tomé and Príncipe. Through comprehensive and specialised training, the course seeks to prepare practitioners who are able to intervene effectively in both the public and private sectors, contributing to the country?s social development and to the improvement of living conditions for the most vulnerable populations.
Eligible applicants include teachers, sociologists, legal professionals, members of the security forces and services, members of the Child and Youth Protection Commissions, and other professionals from public bodies, such as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Higher Education, the National Institute of Social Security, and the Directorate for Social Protection, Solidarity and Family of São Tomé and Príncipe.

Career Prospects

Graduates of this programme will be prepared to work in various areas of social and educational services, including:
. Public bodies, such as the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences (MECC), the National Institute of Social Security, and the Directorate for Social Protection, Solidarity and Family.
. Non-governmental organisations and private institutions operating in the social sector.
. Academic institutions, contributing to the training and development of new social service professionals.
. Social development projects and programmes funded by international organisations.

Specific Entry Requirements
