Course Overview
The broadleaved and conifer stands in agroforestry systems present unique characteristics, due to their stand structures, production, and spatial and temporal variability. This microcredential addresses stand structure, silvicultural models, regeneration and thinning methods, and, for cork oak, cork formation. Knowledge of silvicultural methods, techniques, and tools allows for the development of management alternatives and the selection of the most suitable ones for each stand and management objectives.
