Course Overview

Most higher education teachers began their careers as teachers without having received any specific training for this profession. However, teaching in higher education poses several challenges that require adequate preparation, particularly of a pedagogical nature. This course promoted by the SAPIEN Consortium, implemented as a micro-credential by the University of Évora, constitutes a relevant basic training for teaching in higher education, providing knowledge of diverse teaching methods and strategies and assessment of student learning, appropriate resources to support teaching and learning, particularly digital resources, and ways of preparing and conducting teaching practices.
