Course Overview

Delivering bad news and managing grief are essential competencies for healthcare and psychosocial support professionals, particularly in situations involving sudden, unexpected, or traumatic death. This course aims to equip participants with the ability to communicate bad news empathetically, ethically, and in a structured manner, and to implement effective, compassionate, and evidence-based interventions for bereaved family members. Grounded in an integrative model, it combines clinical practices, self-care strategies, and relational skills that promote healthy grief adaptation and mitigate suffering.
