Preparatory Course for Admission to Higher Education
Ano Letivo 2025/2026

Course Overview

The Preparatory Course for Admission to Higher Education is a preparatory course aimed at consolidating the pre-university knowledge, in order to prepare the student for access to higher education. With a duration of 1 academic year, it allows the acquisition of linguistic and disciplinary knowledge necessary for admission to undergraduate courses in different areas at any Portuguese University. This course, designed and built to cover a wide range of areas, allows the candidate to choose the specific course units to be attended, in order to take the entrance examinations for the course he/she wishes to apply to. It consists of 8 curricular units, 4 of them compulsory, whose goals to be achieved coincide with the Program and Curricular Goals defined by IAVE, from which two optional curricular are choosen by the student according to the program they intend to enrol in.
For those not enrolled in the course, it is permitted to enrol in course units, either as isolated curricular units (for external students) or as extracurricular curricular units (for students enrolled in other UÉ courses).

Estudantes do 12.º ano que queiram ingressar no Ensino Superior no próximo ano letivo, em particular em cursos onde pelo menos umas das disciplinas - Matemática, Física e Química, Biologia e Geologia, Economia, Geometria Descritiva - seja exigida como prova específica ou pertença ao leque de disciplinas de formação básica;Estudantes que concluíram o 12.º ano, não ingressaram no Ensino Superior e têm vocação para as Ciências Exatas e/ou Ciências das Engenharias ou Ciências Sociais;Estudantes M23 que pretendam ingressar no Ensino Superior através do programa especial de acesso para maiores de 23 anos;Estudantes do ensino profissional que pretendam ingressar no Ensino Superior;Estudantes internacionais que pretendam candidatar-se ao concurso de estudantes internacionais e melhoraras suas competências na língua portuguesa.Estudantes que pretendam realizar alguma(s) UC do curso, de forma isolada.

Entry Requirements

Students who have already enrolled in a 1st cycle or Integrated Master's course at the University of Évora are not allowed to enroll in this course.

The following may apply to attend the Preparatory Course for Admission to Higher Education
- students of the 12th grade who want to enter Higher Education in the next academic year;
- students who have completed the 12th grade and have not entered Higher Education;
- students who wish to enter Higher Education through the special access program for those over 23 years old;
- students from professional education who wish to enter Higher Education;
- international students who wish to apply to the international students admission competition.
