Application of Geophysics and Remote Sensing to study metal-contaminated sites
Curso de Formação
Ano Letivo 2024/2025
Course Overview
The course ?Application of Geophysics and Remote Sensing for the study of sites contaminated by metals? aims to train students to be able to apply the main methods used in geophysical prospecting and remote sensing, applied in sites contaminated by metals, namely in abandoned mines, to assess the environmental impact by determining contamination levels. At the end of the Course, students must identify the main in situ geophysical and remote detection methods, suitable for the study of environmental contamination and know their theoretical foundations and the basis of their application, from the acquisition and processing of data and interpretation of results .
