Teaching Methods
Students are introduced to library, fieldwork and research methodologies in the performing arts, composition and musicology. The uc has a strong practical component; students will develop practical skills including preparing for research, data collection, archiving and storage. Students prepare a research proposal, with guidance from the course instructor, based on a topic of his/her choice within the fields of the course.
Artificial Intelligence Use Policy
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools is permitted in accordance with the guidelines set out in Order No. 34/2026 of the University of Évora, provided that such use is duly declared and referenced. It is mandatory to declare the use of AI, specifying the tool used, its purpose, and how it was used, in any written work, audiovisual material, presentation, or other product subject to assessment in the curricular unit.
AI may be used to support learning, research, information organisation, and analysis. Students must, however, critically review and validate the information and content produced through human oversight.
AI may be used as a support tool for research, information organisation, text revision, analysis, and idea development, as well as for creating resources based on content developed and validated by the student. It is not permitted to use AI to produce entire assessed assignments or other work, automatically complete assessment tasks, present AI-generated content as one's own work, or replace independent critical thinking and reflection. The fabrication or manipulation of sources, data, and results is prohibited.
Such practices may constitute academic misconduct, in accordance with Article 119 of the Academic Regulations of the University of Évora (RAUÉ).
