Grammar towards the new making the historical operation as a turning out point for the vision of history of secondary education, fostering a critical spirit to make transnational, comparative and global history. A set of active work issues that will cross the 1st cycle of education

Learning Goals
1. Learning History: memory / past. The use of History in the construction of regional identity, national, European in the global time.
2. Making History: The process of initiation into historical discourse. Historical research: sources, past, time and civilization context. Provide the student with a set of working tools that allow access to the scientific operation of "making History" in different areas of expertise of History- social and human sciences and other fields of knowledge.
3. Working tools: technical reading, research, systematization and organization of ideas and data; presentation of results.
4. Use and recognize types of sources and methods: Identification of specific cases of applied History, from various workshops and various written of History. Medieval and modern sources and the ACCELERATION TIME HISTORY with the contemporary age

1. The history of history: chronological and civilization courses. Tracks scientific, historiographic schools, "Father what good is history?" (1929)
2. Times of Western History. Readings and discussions
3. Use(s) of history in the various sciences
History and practice of research: sources and methods
1. The diversity of contexts in the workshop of history and methods of writing history - into the writing of historians; the pleasure of making history - and the discovery of context sources, a renewed adventure; texts sources and methodology
2. History with "multiple sources": the history of science and technology, cultural history, history of editing the book and print, material history, heritage, art history, museology
3. Uses of sources: the practice of the historian: Évora, World Heritage. Readings of sources, readings of landscape - rural history, urban history
4.Preparation and submission of the paper.

Teaching Methods
Privileging the interaction with students weekly with systematic use of Moodle platform to support the lectures and discussion
Sessions lecture type classes thematic sessions for the analysis of texts, on the agenda prior to the different elements of the class, discussion of research topics from analysis of sources in the work of the seminar and group work. In addition to the practical classes are direct and Tutorials tutorial support by mail and Moodle platform.

CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT:
Weekly summaries of required reading (first phase)
Working Group, with discussion of design and tutorial support, public performance and delivery of final work on paper.
Two frequencies: after a series of synopses; second post-school, after presentation of group work.
Final exam for those who are not in continuous evaluation system, all the objectives of the ongoing evaluation of the test are mandatory requirements.
