Learning Goals

This course intends to understand the person-environment transactions, both for natural and build environment, based on the theoretical framework of social psychology. The objectives are:
- To promote the understanding of the socio-cognitive processes that underlie how, on the one hand, people influence the environment (natural and built) and, on the other hand, how they are influenced by certain characteristics of this.
- Promote the competence of analysis, intervention and application of theories and concepts to the understanding and resolution of socio-environmental problems.
- To enable future psychologists to participate and to include a level of psychological explanation in the work of multidisciplinary teams aimed at environmental studies.

Teaching Methods

Expository methods and active methods, including analysis of cases by watching movies and reading text and description of events with environmental and social impact. And yet the critical analysis of scientific articles.
Continuous assessment includes (1) work group presentation and critical analysis of scientific articles (50%); (2) work group presentation of a research Project (50%).
Final Evaluation: (1) individual work presentation and discussion of scientific article (50%) (2) Individual work proposal of a research project (50%)
