3. Have a global perception of the objectives and instruments that support the economy in the EU, with an emphasis on the microeconomic foundations of the Single Market
4. Have an integrated view of the EMU regime, emphasizing its impacts on the formulation of macroeconomic policies and the dynamics of adapting agents' expectations and strategies

5. for independent reflection, decision-making, written and oral communication and teamwork
6. to frame the issue of European integration in the field of economic policy formation, allowing future insertion in the job market

Teaching Methods
Theoretical-practical classes assume an expository component of the syllabus and, additionally, have an applied component in which illustrative cases will be considered and debated that will allow students to apply the knowledge obtained in the expository sessions and in their own research, as provided for in the institutional Pedagogical Policy .
Naturally, in order to adequately rationalize time, it is necessary for students to regularly dedicate a few hours to studying the recommended bibliography and their own research on the multiple subjects that make up the programmatic contents of this curricular unit.

Assessment
In accordance with the decisions taken by the Assembly of the Department of Economics and the Course Committee for the Degree in Economics, and considering the Academic Regulations, the assessment standards for this subject are as follows:
i) Students may choose the Continuous Assessment regime (preferred) or the Final Assessment regime.
ii) The Continuous Assessment regime presupposes the completion of 2 assessment tests, which can be exams or research work, with a weight of 50% each.
iii) In the Final Assessment regime, the grade corresponds to that obtained in the final exam of the normal or appeal season.
