They must prepare and present the dissertation project plan, including the respective state of the art, in the subject to be selected.

research and select publications in databases of scientific publications and other types of publications

Elaboration and defense of the report of the dissertation project

Teaching Methods

In some of the classes the topics related to methods of investigation in computer engineering are exposed in other classes the subjects of the dissertation are presented.

The topics covered include research methods, bibliographic research and state-of-the-art document writing, writing and organizing a master's thesis.

The presentation sessions of dissertation topics are done at the beginning of the semester, and at the end of the semester the work done by the students: the work plan of the dissertation and states of art.

The presentation sessions of the students' work have the participation of the supervisors and the evaluation of the students is made based on the presentation and the presented report.

Whenever necessary to verify the authorship of the submitted work or the effective development of the skills foreseen for the curricular unit (particularly in situations of suspected misuse of Artificial Intelligence tools or other forms of fraud), the teaching team will summon the student for an oral examination, in accordance with paragraph 13 of article 110 of the Academic Regulations of the University of Évora, ensuring the conditions foreseen in paragraph 4 of article 116 and paragraph 1 of article 118 of the same Regulations. The oral exam will have the same weight in the final grade as the assessment element that led to the summons.
