Course Overview
This course aims to provide contributions that allow nurses and physicians to develop decision-making skills in situations of care for people with complex wounds in different health care settings. This course also aims to develop skills to assess the psychosocial and behavioral aspects of the person with a wound and promote their quality of life, with particular attention to the ability to develop an individualized care plan that includes the patient's comorbidities and unique circumstances. This postgraduate course takes place in collaboration with the Portuguese Society of Wounds ELCOS. The course is externally accredited by the European Wound Management Association EWMA.

Career Prospects
Students in this postgraduate course will be able to apply advanced skills in the intervention of people with complex wounds in any health organization that provides care to people with wounds: public and private general and specialized hospitals; Functional units of Primary Health Care; Medical and Nursing Clinics and in the National Network of Continuing and Integrated Care.
Specific Entry Requirements
The following can apply to obtain a postgraduate degree:
? Holders of a Bachelor's degree or legal equivalent in Nursing or Medicine;
? Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, which is recognized as satisfying the objectives of the Licenciado degree by the competent body of the higher education institution where they intend to be admitted;
? Hold a degree and professional title in the area of ??Nursing or Medicine.
