The relationship between the environment and health is an increasingly relevant topic in clinical practice. There is growing global concern about the potential impact of climate change, microplastics, air pollution, and extreme weather conditions on human health. Nurses are being called upon to take action, implement measures to reduce environmental impacts, and protect the population, while also engaging communities in efforts to counter the negative effects of climate and environmental changes on health. This microcredential aims to equip nursing professionals with the skills to integrate healthy environment concepts into their daily practice, promote balanced lifestyles, and prevent environmental health risks.
Throughout this course, participants will explore factors contributing to environmental imbalance and their consequences, analyze strategies to reduce exposure to toxic substances, and deepen their understanding of Grounding as a tool for physical and emotional well-being. Innovative practical approaches will be discussed to mitigate environmental risks and strengthen health promotion, based on best practices and scientific evidence. This training is aimed at professionals who wish to expand their skills in the field of environmental health and actively contribute to improving the quality of life of individuals and communities.
