Course Overview

It is a degree that addresses the molecular processes of life, as well as its structure, functionality, connections and communication, and will seek tools and knowledge from other areas of Science such as Chemistry, Physics and Biology. This course is focused on providing fundamental knowledge and skills in this area with an emphasis on teaching marked by experimentation: learning by doing! It provides skills for the analysis and production of bioproducts, for the control and optimization of bioprocesses, as well as for the development of scientific research in those domains of the areas of health, agribusiness and environment, in order to prepare its students in a practical way. and comprehensive, for the challenges of your future. Research and Innovation activities in this area are pursued in excellent Research Centers and Institutes, such as the ICT (Institute of Earth Sciences), the MED- Mediterranean Institute for Agriculture, Environment and Development, the HERCULES Laboratory, the CHRC ( Center for Integrated Health Research - Research, Education and Innovation in Clinical Research and Public Health) and REQUIMTE-LAQV.
