Ano Letivo 2025/2026
Course Overview
The Degree in Physics and Chemistry is a training programme aimed at young people who want to acquire skills to respond promptly to emerging scientific, technological, or social challenges in the areas of Physics, Chemistry or Technologies. With a markedly multidisciplinary character, the study plan provides an equity between the training in Physics and Chemistry, a necessary condition to allow access to the Master’s in Physics and Chemistry Teaching, which gives qualification for teaching in the 3rd cycle of Basic Education and in the Secondary Education. This Degree also allows access to a wide range of 2nd cycle courses in the areas of Physics or Chemistry, where graduates can extend their knowledge and obtain training in areas of their choice. The study plan naturally leads to solid training in the areas of Physics and Chemistry, as a starting point for careers in teaching or science, but also in the business world where the recruitment takes place at the undergraduate level. The teaching in laboratory spaces, which include high-tech equipment based in R&D units of the University of Évora, creates a scientific and pedagogical environment of excellence fundamental to the academic success of the students.
