Sustainable Development Goals
Learning Goals
Supporting a critical and well-founded view of the role of pedagogical integration of technologies in education;
Recognising the potential of technologies within the various domains foreseen in the Curricular Guidelines for Pre-School Education, for ICT in the 1st cycle and in the Student Profile;
Integrating emerging theories and models that support the transversal and pedagogically innovative integration of technologies in interdisciplinary projects;
Promoting the development of Digital Competence in its various areas by children;
Making justified decisions regarding the use of technologies, applications and digital resources;
Creating digital educational resources, namely games and interactive stories, using web tools and computer programming environments suitable for children (such as Scratch), which are suitable for future specific contexts;
Planning Learning Scenarios in Innovative Educational Environments.

Teaching Methods
The methodology in this Curricular Unit is intended to be theoretical-practical in nature, centered on students, where they assume an active and intervening role in the construction of their knowledge and that of their colleagues. Active learning strategies will be adopted, such as flipped learning, peer instruction and project-based learning, as well as the sharing and discussion of concepts and key ideas from different content, leading to the creation and sharing of diversified digital artifacts.
Therefore, students might carry out the following activities: content presentations; discussion of activity proposals; viewing videos; literature analysis and carrying out practical exercises to apply the knowledge acquired in each module; discussion and joint reflection on learning; use of an LMS environment to expand work done in the Curricular Unit.

Assessment
Continuous assessment
The continuous assessment regime aims to demonstrate competences developed throughout the learning process in the Curricular Unit. In this way, the evaluation of three elements is expected: participation in the activities developed in each of the modules (25%), the creation of a reflective portfolio with evidence of the learning developed and its connection to professional practice (35%) and the creation and discussion of a learning scenario (40%)
Final assessment
A written assessment test, which assesses knowledge of all the contents, in the theoretical component (40%). The technical and practical competences developed are assessed through the creation of a digital educational resource and an essay that describes its integration into a learning scenario (60%). The result of the assessment test results in the student's final classification.
