Teaching Methods

Pedagogical methodologies focus on the active participation of students, based on tasks to be developed in the classroom, in the co-construction of knowledge, through diversified strategies such as debate, analysis of situations reported or experienced, reflection and sustained criticism, in moments of individual and collaborative work. Different resources are mobilized (documents, videos, scientific reports, technological applications, participation in research projects in the field of education taking place at CIEP) to support learning experiences - based on research and research projects. The teaching, assessment and learning process has the function of regulation, supported by instruments that facilitate autonomy and self-regulation of learning (learning guides and assessment rubrics)

Assessment

According to RAUE there are two assessment modalities.
Continuous assessment
As the classes are held exclusively on a presential regime, attendance (A) is taken into account. Assessment takes place throughout the semester, integrated into teaching and learning, and has a regulatory function. It will be based on tasks (possible participation in CIEP research projects), to be carried out in groups, which will have a formative and/or summative function, at least three of which (TG) will be graded. There will also be a critical reaction (CR), of an integrative and individual nature, on a scientific article chosen by the students (validated by the teacher), or a scientific report on participation in a research project (CR1). All tasks are assessed on the basis of criteria shared with the students.
Final Grade=A(10%)+55%(TG)+35%(RC or RC1)
Final assessment
As an alternative to continuous assessment, there is an Exam (E) and a Task (T).
Final Grade=60%(E)+40%(T)
