Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

1. Provide specific knowledge of Cytology, Embryology, Developmental Biology, Plant Anatomy and
histology, enabling: the understanding of structural phenomena related to other disciplines (Botany and
Physiology) and the development of studies and research in the area of histological anatomy.
2. Develop the capacity of interpretation, reflection and realization of works in the field of plant anatomy
and histology.
3. Develop the ability to search for information based on the use of new communication technologies and
information.
4. Developing English language skills applied to the study of plant anatomy and histology.

and asymmetric division. Embryonic development in Magnoliophyta.
2 - Systems meristematic tissues, dermal, and Vascular Fundamental or Basic. Types of meristems. Fabric
Coating: Epidermis and periderm. Fundamental tissues: parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma.
Vascular system: xylem and phloem. Secretory structures.

(sepals, petals, stamens and gynoecium), fruits and seeds.

Teaching Methods

Exposure structured. Note the final preparations. Performing practical work, presentation and discussion.
Analysis and discussion of research articles.
Rating: Theoretical Examination, Practical Exam and Review Resource Prático.Testes Theoretical and
practical components of measurement and reading a scientific article.
The theoretical assessments are multiple choice, consisting of twenty questions quoted value of 1.0 each -
20 marks in total.
The price is practical assessments 20.
The benchmarking tests, four tests of the practical component and a placement test on the scientific
article, they quote a value of 2 each. The final average of measurement tests will be added to the note of
the practical test.
Note the end of measurement tests = (1 + test 2 + test 3 test 4 test + + test on the scientific article)/5
Final note of the practical component of Note = Note + final practical assessment of measurement ttse.s
Final Score = (Note of the Theory + Practice Note) / 2
