Learning Goals

The general learning objectives promote the development of experimental, representation, analysis, synthesis
capabilities, and of reflexive autonomy and operating capacity, through observation and the interpretation of
reality and of conceptual, and material models.
The acquisition of knowledge, skills and competencies progressively progress to a level of intermediate complexity
and are adjusted according to the process of artistic research and experimentation.

Contents

The knowledge, skills and competences to be achieved develop at a level of advanced complexity and will reflect
the degree of learning, The knowledge, skills and competences to be achieved are developed at a level of
intermediate complexity and will reflect the degree of learning, whose pedagogical strategy focuses on the areas
of painting and sculpture, with particular emphasis on interconnection based on contemporary plastic trends.

Syllabus oriented to the themes to be developed:
1 - Technical, plastic and critical research in Plastic Arts;
2 - New approaches and aesthetic trends;
3 - Operative means of sculptural and pictorial language: Operative means of sculptural and pictorial language:
material and conceptual;
4. Materials: non-conventional materials, supports and instruments;
5. Structural elements of sculptural and pictorial language: volume, shape, scale, weight, proportion balance,
tension, deformation texture, color, direction, light / shadow, positive / negative, concave / convex, universal /
particular;
6. Installation;
7. Site-specific art.

Teaching Methods

For a meaningful teaching / learning, active methods are preferably applied that contribute to and reinforce
students' involvement, analysis, elaboration and critical capacity through discussion, individual follow-up of the
practical work, expositions of theoretical framework, viewing and discussion of communication material audiovisual,
iconographic and bibliographical relevance, participation in workshops and study visits that fit into the
syllabus contents of the curricular unit. During the semester there will be continuous evaluation tests and a final
evaluation. In the final evaluation the students are evaluated by a jury composed by the teacher of the course
and other teachers of the course, who will appreciate the work developed globally and assign a final quantitative
classification.
The evaluation values the process and results of the practical work carried out according to the criteria defined
in the curricular program. The evaluation values other parameters such as student attendance, motivation and
performance, as well as its evolution, taking into account the level of reflexive, technical and creative autonomy.

• 50% exercises made by the student on different small circuits (made during class)
