Sustainable Development Goals
Learning Goals
The aim is for students to:
1- Know how exercise is prescribed for the general population.
2 - Know how to apply the results of the different types of laboratory and field tests available to assess physical condition and subsequently design exercise programmes;
3 - Be able to monitor the development of individual and collective exercise programmes.
4 - Understand the effects of the exercise programmes they will design on the subjects to whom they will apply them.
5- Understand the implications that applying different types of programmes may have on the different components of people's physical fitness.

Teaching Methods
We advocate teaching centred on student learning and learning centred on developing skills. Thus, after a general approach, through the presentation of concepts at a theoretical level, students will carry out exercise prescriptions based on the results obtained in the physical fitness assessment throughout the practical laboratory sessions, where they will develop skills that are transversal to other CUs, such as the application of training methods and the application of assessment instruments and protocols to control the physiological adaptations produced after physical exercise. Digital resources will also be used to manage communication through the Moodle platform, which is used to organise and make available materials relating to the teaching and learning process.
Assessment
The students, divided into groups, will promote the prescription of exercises among their colleagues based on data collected in other courses.
Assessment will be centred on the self-regulation of students' learning, where they will receive feedback on their performance at different times throughout the lessons, developing their capacity for self-regulation and autonomous learning to improve their work and assess the correctness of the presented prescription.
