The curricular unit sets forth the following objectives:
1. To recognize the specificity of philosophical thinking on Education;
2. To identify the main questions about Education on philosophical texts;
3. To consider philosophical applications to Education;
4. To use some of theoretical and critical tools in public space real and virtual (Philosophy with Children, caféphilo,
debates, blogs).
At the end of the course students should be apt to make use of critical, argumentative and interaction skills
(such as comprehension, interpretation and dynamics of human conversation). They should, as well, be able to
broaden horizons and boost involvement and commitment for the community.

Teaching Methods
Theoretical and practical lectures (45h): it is used the active methods by clarifying information doing readings
and participating in discussions (teacher and students).
Evaluation: the assessment includes an intermediate written test (it worth 50%).
