Teaching Methods
The completion of the internship in a gym/health club emphasizes practical and experiential learning, enabling students to understand its operation and acquire practical skills. Therefore, the content approach will focus on developing students' ability to learn autonomously and collaboratively in the construction of knowledge in a professional context, promoting not only problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration but also deepening relationships with the business sector, contributing to the development and attractiveness of the course. The use of digital resources will be integrated into the internship, in close communication with the gym/health club professionals, to facilitate the administration and monitoring of students' work.
Assessment
Continuous assessment is the recommended evaluation method and considers the following components:
Continuous Assessment (CA):
1. CA1 - 50%:Gym Performance - Skills demonstrated by the student in their internship.
2. CA2 - 50% Report - Description and justification of pedagogical and scientific issues; Coherence and relevance of planning, intervention, and evaluation decisions; Reflective and self-questioning ability; Explicitation of achieved learning.
Final Assessment (Normal, Final, and Special Exam Periods):**
1. FA1 - 60%: Report.
2. FA2 - 40%: The same work considered in CA1. This evaluation component is common to the continuous assessment regime (UÉ Academic Regulations), and the practical presentation component must take place during the period.
Passing requires achieving a minimum final grade of 9.5 points.
