Goals:
The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge to understand the fundamentals of organizational information systems and their application to business and organizational management.
The fundamental objectives are to acquire the necessary knowledge to analyze the organization's information systems, aiming to analyze and specify the information systems solutions most appropriate to the real problems of organizational management.
Skills:

- acquire process management skills;
- understand the importance of IT tools and information systems in organizational decision-making processes;
- use and manage the main sources of information and databases of the business;
- Understand organizational life in a systemic way;
- Develop decision-making and problem-solving skills in management processes.

Concepts of information systems (data, information and knowledge; organization and systems; organizational problems; information systems manager; typologies of systems in organizations)
Process management BPM methodology;

Teaching Methods
The teaching sessions are of a face-to-face theoretical-practical nature, using the following teaching-learning methodologies:
Expository, framing of topics and ontological construction of language associated with this specific area of learning.
Participatory, through the promotion of dialogue, exposition of ideas and opinions.
Active, with exercises and case studies, discussion and oral presentation and other activities in the classroom.
Engaging, with contact with information systems and support tools, but also with managers and professionals in the area.
The work in the classroom will involve thematic seminars and round tables (in this case with the support of digital communication platforms, to facilitate the participation of professionals), indicative readings and analysis of the texts, construction of a collective glossary and application of knowledge through quizzes, case studies and exercises.
