Course Overview

The Masters in Applied Economics and Management (MEGA), specializing in Economics and Business Management, is a 2nd cycle course accredited by the A3ES and maintained by a specialized faculty with teaching experiences in the African, European and Asian continents.

MEGA is a training designed to guarantee a real growth and appreciation of expertise in the areas of Economics and Management, through the mastery and application of advanced tools. These tools enable an understanding of how to manage distinct business areas, attending to the sustainability of their resources, whilst taking into account the dimension and dynamics of their economies, markets and organizations (large, medium or micro organizations). Moreover, they aid to creating value and developing a broad vision of the business world at a global level, whilst offering an integrated and systematic view of the problems and challenges facing them.

This course offers specialized competences that foster professional openings in distinct areas of Economics and Management, applied to organizations in general and to businesses in particular. Moreover, it sustains an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspective, as well as specialized consulting in these areas.

Specific Entry Requirements

Applicants must have: a) an academic degree following the conclusion of a 1st Cycle of studies or legal equivalent; b) a foreign academic degree to which the Scientific Council of the School of Social Sciences recognizes as meeting the requirements; c) a curriculum that is recognized by the Scientific Council of the School as having the capacity to carry out the course.
