Course Overview

The Nursing Degree Course at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem de S. João de Deus in Évora provides excellent technical, scientific and human training, based on a teaching-learning process that strives to acquire and develop skills for the provision and management of person-centred care. The school offers an experienced teaching staff, highly qualified in the different areas of health care, which enables training in which strategies are implemented that combine theoretical teaching with practical teaching, and the practical component in real contexts, thus providing students from the first to the last year of the course with the opportunity to have experiences in selected clinical environments, under the guidance of clinical supervisors who are part of the school's project. The innovation and updating of teaching strategies are based on the latest knowledge and scientific evidence, developed in a stimulating and active environment.
