This degree course equips students with the skills to work in three major areas: exercise and health, sports training, and teaching physical expression and developing motor skills at the basic levels of education. The aim is for students to acquire a specific skill set in those areas to plan, recommend, organise and technically guide the different physical and sports activities. Students will also learn how to assess the quality of their intervention and design or implement measures for improvement.
This broad-based degree course includes practical classes with seaside, mountain and field activities in specific contexts, and may also confer students with a professional degree recognising them as sports coaches and exercise instructors.
