Learning Goals
The curricular unit offers the student a diverse range of research fields in the area of theater, identifiable in the structuring areas of theater training. It aims to familiarize the student with the main steps of the research work, from the definition of the study object (formulation of the problem, identification, selection and treatment of data, bibliographic research), to the production of elements that will desirably form the basis of their projects end of the 6th semester.
Contents
1. Scientific research -Subject matter (s) of study, Methodologies, Establishment of the field.
2. Scientific research methodologies -Work plan, Information sources, Material organization (Bibliographies,Reading Sheets), Textual organization (Textual principles: cohesion and coherence, Quotes, references, notes, Argumentative structures, Research and new information technologies).
3. Formalization issues - Formats (oral communication, publication) and recipients, Presentation rules

Teaching Methods
First clarification of the subject (s) of study to be developed should be sought. Secondly, it will be necessary to define the appropriate methodology for each case, as well as to facilitate the meeting and selection of the necessary logistical and scientific resources. Throughout the course of the research, it should also follow, promote and guide the discussion and the critical sense about the work in progress.
Rating criteria:
- the relevance of the chosen study object;
- the ability to present solutions to the problems encountered, and the ability to provide consistency and continuity to the project;
- the quality of the presentations in the course of the proceedings;
- the capacity and quality of the reasoning given at the time of discussion;
- the overall quality of the final work;
