Learning Goals

? Identify and apply historical, technical, and pedagogical knowledge specific to the student?s area of specialisation within the context of vocational music education.
? Develop critical reflection and reasoned debate skills regarding the specificities of pedagogical practice in both one-to-one and group teaching settings.
? Recognise and analyse technical and didactic challenges within the area of teaching, proposing appropriate strategies to address them.
? Acquire and implement differentiated teaching methodologies tailored to the characteristics of professional music education.
? Foster planning, adaptability, and pedagogical intervention skills across various teaching formats, grounded in a deep understanding of the student?s specialisation area.

This course will address the following topics according to each specific area of teaching:
- Principles and problems of teaching music classes;
- Study and performance in the classroom;
- Methodologies and cultures of teaching in each vocational area:
(a) past, (b) present, and (c) prospects for the future.
- Creativity in art education and its role in vocational education of music.

Teaching Methods

- Classroom environment replicating the future professional context;
- Theoretical presentation of the exercises to develop;
- Analysis and discussion of the studies and exercises to develop (their goals and resolution of difficulties);
- Practical exercises of the proposed studies;
- Proposition of new technical tools for teaching in the specific area of teaching.
