Teaching Methods
This is an annual curricular unit with a total of around 420 hours of school attendance, which represents around 14 hours of school contact in 3rd cycle primary and secondary classes.
PES activities involve duly planned pedagogical practice, professional learning in conjunction with the themes to be worked on in the development of the curriculum, taking into account cooperation between subjects and the contexts in which they work. It also involves self-study, reflective practice and documentary analysis, based on field notes, other school (pedagogical documentation and scientific literature), as well as participatory discussions that mobilise the construction of knowledge. In keeping with teaching, the research project to be developed in this curricular unit will involve the active participation of students in its preparation, presentation and discussion with teachers, guest experts and peers in the context of seminar activities. Students carry out all this work with the support of their co-operating supervisors and the university's PES supervisor through tutorial guidance.
