Learning Goals

Students should be able to analyze the operation of a facility in order to understand the functioning of monitoring and control systems inherent to such installations. They should address aspects related to spatial conditioning and organization of space, as well as environmental conditioning, in order to improve the efficiency of the production system. Additionally, the objective is to equip students with the skills and decision-making support tools necessary to operate in the analysis and selection of equipment.

2. Monitoring of space utilization and animal welfare
- Geolocation of animals in natural environments (pasture)
- Application of sensors
- Video monitoring and vocalization of behavioral aspects
3. Environmental Conditioning Techniques
- Energy and mass balances
- Ventilation Systems

4. Integration and control of systems
- Transfer of information from weather stations to environmental conditioning equipment
- Transfer of information from animals and plants to environmental conditioning equipment
- Integrated Management of Equipment
- Alert mechanisms and decision support systems

Teaching Methods

Theoretical-practical classes. Seminars: experts will be invited on certain subjects in order to allow the
deepening of some subjects.

Assessment

Evaluation with written tests and with pratical working reports.
