Teaching Methods
Teaching methodologies focus on lectures and discussion sessions guided/moderated by the lecturer. In addition to the presentation of the syllabus topics by the lecturer in lectures, teaching sessions also involve the active participation of students in theoretical-practical sessions. The bibliographic materials distributed in advance or to be researched in self-study will contribute to making the sessions more dynamic and to the acquisition of skills by students.
The proposed methodologies aim to enable students to achieve the proposed objectives. To this end, students will be encouraged from the outset to intervene, ask questions and clarify doubts whenever they feel the need and consider it appropriate. This methodology also aims to stimulate students' communication, analysis and critical thinking skills in this initial phase of their academic career.
The methodological use of comparing conceptual models and practical examples captures attention, promotes learning, stimulates interest in the different programme contents, and allows the objectives and skills established for this course unit to be achieved.

Students who do not obtain a grade equal to or higher than 9.5 will be subject to a final assessment. In accordance with the Regulations of the University of Évora, students who do not take one of the scheduled assessments will automatically opt for the final assessment system, and the provisions of the aforementioned regulations will apply.
