Teaching Methods

In accordance with the objectives of the curricular unit, methodologies will be developed that prioritize student participation in classes, through debate, criticism and reflective intervention, as well as experimenting of research tools, contributing, simultaneously, to the consolidation of their knowledge and the relevant technical mobilization. Also in accordance with the objectives, models will be developed focused on students and their personal and professional development.

Assessment

The assessment in this course unit follows the evaluation regulations of the University of Évora, which include both continuous assessment and final assessment. Assessment is integrated into teaching and learning, playing a regulatory role. It takes place throughout the semester on a continuous basis, through the completion of various individual and group tasks.

Continuous Assessment Regime:
The final grade will be obtained based on two individual assignments: one consisting of a critical analysis of a research article (IA 1) and another one involving the development of a research project in the specific area of the student's course (IA 2). The assigned tasks are appropriate to the specific areas of each course.
Final Grade (FG) = 50% IA 1 + 50% IA 2

Final Assessment Regime:
Students who choose this regime must complete a written exam (WE) and an oral presentation (OP), with work similar to that developed in the continuous assessment regime.
The final grade for the course unit will be determined as follows:
FG = 80% WE + 20% OP
