Contents
Theory and practice of intervention in architectural heritage - past experiences of intervention in built heritage and their reflection in current project practice. Critical evaluation of the notions and principles previously covered, through the presentation and discussion of some examples of intervention considered paradigmatic.
Teaching Methods
Theoretical-practical classes explaining the fundamental concepts of heritage, conservation, safeguarding and intervention methodologies in architectural heritage.
Lecture series on topics relevant to the subject.
Study visits with cases of interventions that alert students to the responsibility of intervening in monuments.

Assessment
The subject consists in theoretical-practical classes, with a workload of 3 hours per week. The teaching methodology includes the aspect of exposure of theoretical and programmatic contents, which will be complemented with practical work by students. This dimension will be articulated with case studies and site visits to exemplary work into the domain of architectonic heritage.
Evaluation encloses group work, an individual test and participation in classes, with the following weights in the final grade:

- Test: 50%
- Participation in classes: 10%
