Teaching Methods
The following teaching methods and techniques are used in this course:
Lectures, using audiovisual aids and general and specific bibliographies, in theoretical classes presenting the theoretical, analytical and methodological guidelines of the subject and systematising and problematising the syllabus content.
Active method in theoretical-practical classes organised around collective discussion of texts or other work materials; reading, presentation and critical discussion of selected texts on authors, perspectives and cases of empirical application; presentation and discussion of exercises developed by students.
Interrogative method to encourage active student participation.
Within the scope of this course unit, the use of artificial intelligence tools is permitted exclusively as a support tool for the learning process, namely for:
? support for research and organisation of information;
? linguistic and stylistic support in writing texts;
? analytical and brainstorming support;
? support in creating presentations based on content already produced by the student.
The use of artificial intelligence for the full or partial autonomous production of assignments, reports, analyses or other assessable products is not permitted. Students must ensure the authorship, originality and academic responsibility for all work submitted, in accordance with the academic integrity standards of the University of Évora. Whenever artificial intelligence tools are used, their use must be explicitly mentioned and duly referenced in the work, identifying the tool used and the type of support provided, ensuring transparency and respect for the principles of academic integrity.

Assessment
Understanding assessment as an integral part of the learning process, it is considered that, in addition to an individual written exam, it is essential to carry out practical work in groups, aimed at applying the knowledge acquired, but also at developing social and behavioural skills, particularly those related to teamwork, given that it is carried out in groups.
Continuous assessment: Written test: 40% + Practical group work: 60% (minimum grade of 8 in each element) + 75% attendance (except for special arrangements).
Final assessment: written test (100%) + 75% attendance (except for special arrangements).
Given the profile of the CU, the practical work will take the form of a case study, the theme (or themes) of which will be selected from the most current social dynamics.
Within the scope of this CU, the use of Artificial Intelligence tools in the context of assessment can only occur in the context of continuous assessment, which may include practical work, oral presentations, critical reflections and other phased tasks. The use of AI tools is only permitted under the terms defined above (research support, organisation, linguistic revision, brainstorming and support for the preparation of presentations). Their use must be in support of the work carried out by the student and must not replace their capacity for analysis, interpretation, decision-making and scientific or professional production. Whenever used, AI must be duly referenced, indicating:
? the tool used;
? the date of use;
? the type of support requested;
? a brief description of how the contribution was integrated into the work.
This information must be included in a footnote, methodological section, or separate appendix entitled ?Declaration of use of AI tools.?
