The specific objectives are:
1- contribute to a comprehensive and diverse view of current research in Human Kinetics, focusing on different areas and their scientific issues, research models and experimental approaches, methodologies and techniques, applications and impact in today's society;
2- development of communicational skills, either through attendance at the seminars presented by the speakers or through the assignments to be prepared under the assessment of the CU.

Contents

Syllabus consists of cycles of obligatory seminars focusing on different areas of research in Human Kinetics. It is important to emphasize that seminars were designed addressing transversal areas, focusing special attention on research methodologies. The modules to be addressed are the following: Life span Physiological Adaptations (12h); Research Methods in Human Kinetics (16h); Kinetics and Human Development (12h). Each module will consist of 4 hours of seminars.
These seminars or lectures are given by professors and researchers from the University of Évora or other institutions at the invitation of the responsible professor of CU. These seminars are open to the academic community, including students of 1st and 2nd cycles, publicized internally and externally.

Teaching Methods

The syllabus, consisting of cycles of seminars with the themes described in the previous section and presented by speakers from different areas of Human Kinetics, is appropriate to the CU's objectives to the extent that will strengthen the capacity of understanding of research models and experimental approaches, critical analysis and synthesis ideas, and the ability to communicate with peers, with the academic community and society in general. With regard to specific objectives, the participation in the seminars allows students to gain a more comprehensive and multidisciplinary vision of current research in Human Kinetics. It also allows students to develop skills in communication, either by their participation at the seminars or through the tasks performed by students in the evaluation of CU.
