Presentation

This Course Unit intends to prepare students for the characteristic type of intellectual work from University, promoting the knowledge and practice of fundamental methodologies of study and research.

Be familiar with the B.A. Curricula and the R.E.I. of the University of Évora, as well as to have basic knowledge of university and college rules and regulations
- Acquire basic knowledge of personal and group management learning;
- Be familiar with and being able to use study techniques as well as how to conduct scholarly research;
- Be familiar with and being able to use the methodology employed in conducting scholarly research.

Teaching Methods

The collective sessions will consist of theory and practice, based on the following methodology: exercises aimed at activating preconceived ideas, interactive communication, debates, case studies, dramatizations/simulations, analysis, reports, and presentations. They will be diverse in nature, so that to allow different methodological approaches and analyses. The syllabi will be posted on the e-learning platform , on the SIIUE site, as well as the students in the 1st session.
Two hours per week will be devoted to tutorials, in order to guarantee students? progress and to provide them with access to the e-mail.
Evaluation: Written work (80%) (individual as well as in groups), oral presentation, based on written work (20%).
